Mid Season Memberships

​Membership will continue to be accepted throughout the season; however, payment of fees as set out in the fee schedule and required online registrations must be made prior to joining beach activities.

Season Information

​The Mandurah SLSC season runs throughout the year, with our main activities taking place during the active season.

​

Before the Season Begins

New members are invited to attend our annual Come & Sea Day or Registration Day, where families and community members can:

• Learn about our programs and membership pathways

• Meet club volunteers and coordinators

• Try out activities and demonstrations

• Receive support with membership registration

Registration support is also available during the season for new and returning members.

Nippers Season

Our Nippers program runs during the summer season and provides children aged U6–U13 with opportunities to develop:

• Beach and surf skills

• Water safety awareness

• Teamwork and confidence

• Surf Sports skills

• Friendships and community connections

The program runs for approximately 16 weeks, with a scheduled break over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

Starfish Nippers Season

Our Starfish Nippers program provides an inclusive surf lifesaving experience for children with disability or additional support needs.

The program runs during the summer season and includes:

• Inclusive beach activities

• Water awareness and safety skills

• Confidence-building activities

• Connection with the wider surf club community

The program runs for approximately 8 weeks, with a scheduled break over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

Patrol Season

Our Patrol Season runs during the warmer months, with volunteer lifesavers providing essential beach safety services to our community.

Active patrolling members play a vital role in keeping our beaches safe and supporting club lifesaving operations.

Patrol members can participate in:

• Regular patrol duties

• Lifesaving training and skills development

• First Aid and award pathways

• Water safety activities

• Club lifesaving events and operations

Members interested in joining patrol can begin their pathway through Surf Life Saving awards, training and support from our experienced volunteers.

Surf Sports Season

Surf Sports provides opportunities for members of all ages to develop their skills, fitness and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

Members can participate in a range of beach and ocean-based activities, including:

• Competition and training opportunities

• Fitness sessions and clinics

• Club and inter-club events

• Skill development and coaching

• Pathways from beginner through to competitive levels

Surf Sports opportunities are available for eligible members from U8 age groups through to adults.

Whether you are looking to compete, improve your fitness, learn new skills or simply enjoy being part of the club community.

Training and Education

Throughout the season, members can access Surf Life Saving training pathways including:

• Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC)

• Bronze Medallion

• First Aid qualifications

• Water safety training

• Leadership, training and coaching opportunities

Training helps members build confidence, contribute to the club and support the safety of our community.

Staying Connected All Year

Outside of the main season, members can continue to participate in:

• Surf Sports training

• Education and training opportunities

• Youth programs

• Social activities

• Community events

• Volunteer opportunities
